Hi, i'm kris
And here's a bit more about me
As long as I can remember, I've always been the gatherer. There's always been a passion for bringing people together and documenting the moments. I'm known by my friends and the people who know me as a community maker and a safe space. I think this is what makes me great at what I do--my ability to genuinely connect and make people feel comfortable, even when they're doing something they've never done before. When you book with me, you will never question my passion for and my dedication to our project!
What I'm Passionate about...
Radical self-love and acceptance. I believe in self-care beyond the skin-deep work of a face mask. True magic happens when we dig deeper, and explore what it means to practice radical self-love. Part of this practice for me is authentic creation. Whether that be through photography or by diving into your brand, this work can be very personal to my clients. I think many people put off getting the photos or getting the branding help they need because it’s hard to invest in ourselves. It can feel like a lot of pressure to take the leap but when you invest in my work you receive completely bespoke services that will benefit you for years to come from someone who is so excited to work with you.
Leading with empathy. In my management experience, I was always taught to lead with curiosity. I’ve found that it’s imperative to take that thinking a step further and lead with empathy. As an empathetic and curious person, I’m able to really understand your story and your goals. When you trust me with your time and investment, you will never question my care for you and your vision. It can feel overwhelming to book services when you have so many options. When you book with me, I’m here to be your biggest hype man and cheerleader. With me you get genuine, productive, and empathic communication.
Genuine expression. Genuine connection. I believe that the best art is made through authenticity in both expression and connection between artist, medium, muse, subject, and location. No matter what season of life you find yourself in--whether you are in an ebb or flow--your story is worthy of being captured. In life, there are rarely perfect moments, only moments we savor to the fullest, and with photography we are given a beautiful way to savor those moments for a lifetime. During my time working in hospice, I learned how to soak up bits of beauty while simultaneously feeling sorrow. We so often take things for granted thinking that we have more time. It’s only really when we’re faced with losing something do we remember it’s value. It’s one of the most common regrets in life! The things we don’t do. Don’t let investing in yourself be something you put on the back burner. Wear the skirt, eat the cake, take the photos.
